We had an amazing lesson on the election process this week! Our journey began with 10 incredible candidates in our Primary. After some tough competition, two nominees emerged: Mr. Rooster and Mr. T-Rex!
Yesterday, these two candidates took part in a lively debate, and today, the elementary students cast their votes for the next "President of Eastern Hancock." The 5th graders planned the entire event, created campaign posters, and even had the candidates walking around the elementary this morning for some last-minute campaigning! They also managed the polls and crafted the platforms each candidate ran on. Huge thank you to Dana Smith for organizing such a fun and educational experience!
And now, the results are in...
T-Rex takes the win with 55% of the vote! Mr. Rooster put up a valiant effort, finishing with 45%.
Congratulations to all who participated, and a special shoutout to our future leaders!

Catch all the action from yesterday’s hilarious debate between the infamous Mr. Rooster 🐓 (voiced by Mr. Aaron Spaulding) and the mighty Mr. To-Rex 🦖 (brought to life by Mr. David Pfaff). The students were captivated by each candidate’s arguments, charm, and sense of humor—making this a debate to remember!
Voting took place this morning, so stay tuned to see who our students chose as their winner. 🌟

🟡 Yellow Team: Led by the steadfast Mr. Rooster(voiced by Mr. Aaron Spaulding)! Known for his passion for nature 🌳, Mr. Rooster firmly supports planting Tulip Trees and Weeping Willows on our playground while standing strong in opposition to Sycamore Trees.
