Please follow these steps to get your child(ren) enrolled and registered at EH.
The state of Indiana requires that we identify our students as living within our school district boundaries or outside of our district boundaries. Please begin by visiting the IN HomeTownLocator site to determine what school district your address is in. Scroll midway down the page to the "Input a Home Address" section. The search results will yield information about your address, including school district & school zones.
If your place of legal residence is in the Eastern Hancock school district, you may skip to Step 3. If your place of legal residence is OUTSIDE of the Eastern Hancock school district, please begin by filling out the appropriate form:
At this point, you will need to WAIT for the next step until you hear back from the school confirming your acceptance as an out-of-district transfer student. This form only needs to be filled out ONE time per student per year. If you need to make changes after submitting the form, please contact Central Office at 317-936-5444, Ext. 271.
Skyward is the online Student Management system that we use at Eastern Hancock for managing student information, grades, fees, etc. You will need a Skyward Family Access Account to be able to view your child's grades, register for classes each year, update family information, etc.
IF YOU ALREADY HAVE ANOTHER STUDENT AT EASTERN HANCOCK OR HAVE HAD A STUDENT AT EASTERN HANCOCK IN THE PAST, YOU WILL NOT NEED TO DO THIS STEP & MAY SKIP TO STEP 4.
If your family is indeed brand new to Eastern Hancock, please request a Skyward Account HERE. You will then be issued a username and password. Please keep this in a safe but handy place. You will need it as long as you have students at EH.
Enrollment is a ONE-time process requesting that your child be enrolled at Eastern Hancock.
This does NOT guarantee acceptance for Out-of-District Students. Acceptance is determined by the building principals.
FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE BRAND NEW:
Using your new parent/guardian Skyward username & password, log into Skyward Family Access. At the top of the left-hand column, you will select "New Student Enroll Request" and fill this out for EACH new student who you would like to attend Eastern Hancock.
At this time the respective building secretaries for each student will complete their portion of the enrollment process, and you will be notified by the email entered in Skyward stating that your enrollment has been approved or denied.
FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE RETURNING AFTER BEING WITHDRAWN IN THE PAST:
Please contact your child's appropriate school building & request that your child's Skyward account be reactivated. (If you live out-of-district you will still need to fill out the Transfer Student Form in Step 2.)

Once you have receive confirmation of enrollment, you may register each student individually for the current school year. Log back into Skyward Family Access and select the current "School Year Registration" button on the left. This process will be repeated EACH YEAR, beginning mid-July.
During this time, the respective building secretary will work with you to ensure all necessary documentation has been turned in, either from your child's transferring school or directly from you.
- An official birth certificate (not a hospital record)
- Up-to-date immunization records
- If not enrolled by biological parent(s), proof of court-ordered guardianship or custody with government-issued photo ID of the guardian
- Proof of legal residency (must include one of the following)
- Purchase agreement, closing documents, deed, lease, mortgage document, property tax statement, current homeowner's insurance policy, gas bill or electric utility bill (other utilities not accepted)
- Transcript or record of academic history from previous school
- Copy of Social Security card (high schoolers only)
FREE/REDUCED LUNCH STUDENTS:
If you are transferring from another school district where your child was receiving free/reduced lunch & textbook benefits, those benefits DO NOT TRANSFER AUTOMATICALLY. You will need to fill out a new application under the "Food Service" tab in Skyward. Only ONE application is needed for all students in your household. Applications will be available at the start of Registration each July.
All student textbook fees are expected to be paid in full within 60 days of starting school. You can view your child(ren)'s fees listed under "Fee Management" in Skyward. These can be paid by cash/check to your child's respective building or Central Office. You can also pay online using E-Funds.
Lunch money deposits and athletic/transportation fees can also be paid in these ways.
