The foundation supports Eastern Hancock schools and teachers.  Primary support includes providing grants for teachers and rewarding educators through appreciation efforts and programming.

The Eastern Hancock Education Foundation awards grants to educators for programs or resources needed for their students or classrooms.  Since inception, the foundation has funded more than $30,000 at the elementary, middle and high school.  The grants range from programs to help with the successful transition of Kindergarten students, to improving classroom engagement and school culture, and even introducing new course offerings such as robotics.

Educator Appreciation

Teacher Grant Winner

Each year, Eastern Hancock Education Foundation recognizes one teacher each year for exceptional innovation, commitment, leadership and devotion to academic excellence. Nominations are submitted by peers, students, parents and community stakeholders who deem the educator's contributions exceed expectations.  Past winners of the award include  Mrs. Suzanne Eischen (2016), Mrs. Kim Lowe (2015), Mrs. Debbie Grass (2014), Mrs. Sherry Trainor (2013), Mr. Charles Beaver (2012).  Additional activities, such as a teacher appreciation breakfast, are also sponsored by the foundation throughout the year.
